The Premier League champions are finally closing in on a deal for the 29-year-old after agreeing a €30 million (£27.2m) fee with Bayern Munich. According to The Times, Thiago has agreed to sign a four-year contract with Jurgen Klopp’s side and the midfielder will take the vacant No.6 shirt. Liverpool’s No.6 was worn for six years by Dejan Lovren, who left Anfield to join Zenit in July.
